Part 3: Warning - Student Raver
"Are all of them gone?" asked Youji fearfully from behind the register desk.
The redheaded man stared at him blankly with an underlying malice, "Yes." he said, "they weren't buying so I made them leave."
" Thanks." Omi piped up, "now wouldn't you love to take off, go visit Aya-chan or something?" Omi smiled sweetly, " I don't have any homework so I can handle your part and mine." Aya blinked, and promptly left, "Your welcome!" called Omi.
" I have a soccer practice that I can't miss, but that'll leave you to do my work too." said Ken.
Omi smiled, " Don't worry, Youji'll do it."
Ken's face went blank; "Youji barely does his part!"
" Hey!!" Youji hollered, "I'll do it."
Ken laughed as he left to go to practice leaving Youji and Omi alone to hold Kitten in the House together while Aya and him were gone. Silence filled the room until Omi put a CD in the portable boombox, his latest rave mix hummed through the speakers.
"Well, " Omi said over the music, "first off you need some bright clothes, jewelry, and a more random hairstyle we'll deal with that next rave we go to." Omi smiled, "For now we'll get to the basics." Youji nodded deciding it was best to let Omi choose where to start. "Okay, put your hands together like your praying." Omi was doing the moves as he explained them to Youji, Youji had his hands right. " Now, straiten your arms so your fingers are pointing down." Youji had that right, `Good,' thought Omi; `this'll be easy.'
Ding! Omi and Youji broke their stance and went to help the costumer. "Welcome to Kitten in the House floral arrangements, how may we help you?"
"I need a dozen red roses, now." Said a teenage guy standing near the door.
"Right away!" said Omi, "Youji, we need an Aya special!" Omi brought the costumer to the counter and rung up the Aya special while Youji put it together and brought it over. "Here you are." Omi smiled, a phony sales clerk smile, "Thank you, come again."
They went back behind the counter and Omi brought Youji back into the position they'd left at. " So now you twist your hands around so they're facing down but your wrists are crossed." Omi smiled when Youji had this, " Slide the top hand up your arm, then back down. Now, twist your hands the other way so the other hand is on top, and then slide up, then down. Twist, other hand, up, down and keep doing that." Omi looked up to watch Youji do it once. Youji spun his hand, it looked right, but the same hand kept going up. " No Youji, switch hands." Omi did the move in slow motion again. "Like that." Youji tried again and was stopped short, "Switch hands."
This went on for at least an hour but had to be stopped when Ken came back. "Hey you didn't kill each other yet!? I'm shocked." Ken yelled. " Anyway, don't either of you have ears?" ken asked, both Omi and Youji looked confused. "Manx has been locked outside for half an hour." Ken told the as Manx walked around a corner to give them the evil bitch glare of doom.
Omi and Youji gave each other a look equivalent to screaming `shit' and proceeded to run into the basement where Aya was ready for their mission to be explained. Youji and Omi each took a seat as ken bounded in with Manx strutting in his wake.
"My, my Ken aren't we the gentleman." Youji smirked then asked, "So, what's the mission?" Youji watched Manx's ass sway as she walked to the VCR, pushed in the video, and pressed play, before she proceeded to walk behind the couch.
The video started and Persia's voice was heard but he was unseen, instead there were pictures of seemingly unconnected dead young adults, except of coarse the small similarities, they all wore bright clothes and had been shot directly between the eyes. "A new plant has sprung from old roots. Long ago there was a religious order that thought they were to kill every sinner in existence. This group is called The Order of the Zeitgeist. Zeitgeists are in every country, but recently. In Japan, they've been targeting a new group of people, ravers.
"Zeitgeists lure these unexpecting people into a free drink, but as the Zeitgeist gets the drink he or she poisons it. The next thing the raver knows their hands and feet are tied and the have a gun pointed at they're head," Persia's voice droned on speaking of the way the Zeitgeists are cleaning out the sinners.
Omi's mind had slipped, left the video behind, he knew many ravers, in fact he recognized at least half the dead ones, but only one could pull him out of the video so quickly and fully, Raven. Omi was sure he'd seen Raven, his purple hair in its usual messy style, a hint of those brilliant blue eyes and five seconds or less of his break dance mixed with raving technique. Thank god, he hadn't been at this rave he'd have been caught right there with Raven.
Manx pulled out a picture and spoke, "Two of you must go undercover as ravers and get this woman to buy you a drink, do not drink, but don't let her catch on to your game. She is a Zeitgeist and will poison your drink."
Omi looked at the picture when it came to him, `Shit!' he thought, `I recognize her.'
"Okay," Manx said, "Aya, you don't wanna be a raver, Ken you'd fall on your face. Omi, Youji, you are my ravers."
Youji snickered softly as Manx told the others their duty. When Manx had finished her explanations Youji asked, "We have to look like them, don't we?" Manx nodded and left the assassin team to get to work.
